PORTLAND, Ore. – Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) today announced the appointment of Nichole Tennyson to the role of Chief Legal Officer, effective immediately. In this newly established role, Tennyson joins the company’s senior leadership team, internally referred to as the Operating Committee. Expanding on her previous role as general counsel, Tennyson will lead a dispersed team across North America and be responsible for all legal and compliance matters, corporate audit, and external affairs while advising the Operating Committee on risk and governance.

Tennyson joined DTNA in July of 2022 after an extensive legal career of progressive responsibility in both private and publicly held companies where she played an instrumental role advising on legal strategy. She previously served as associate general counsel at Tektronix, Inc., a Fortive company, since 2016. Prior to Tektronix, she was interim general counsel and corporate secretary at Erickson Incorporated. Tennyson has also previously worked in private practice as an associate attorney in the business law and intellectual property groups at Schwabe, Williamson and Wyatt.

Tennyson is a member of The Oregon State Bar Association and received her Juris Doctorate with a certificate in business law from Lewis and Clark Law School. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona. Tennyson will remain based at DTNA headquarters in Portland.
