You may call it a family reunion. For the first time in years, we at Daimler Trucks North America will be showcasing our entire family of brands in one place: the inaugural North America Commercial Vehicle (NACV) Show being held in Atlanta, Georgia the week of September 25th.
From Freightliner’s exciting range of on-highway and vocational trucks to Western Star heavy-duty trucks to Thomas Built school buses, we will spotlight almost two dozen vehicles and highlight several features of the Detroit Assurance suite of safety systems via a virtual reality simulation.
What do they all have in common? Daimler’s innovative technology inside and out, as reflected in the press conference theme, “Let’s Connect”. Here we will highlight the benefits of connectivity in commercial vehicles – connectivity between the truck and back office for improved uptime, connectivity between the fleet and the driver for increased productivity and connectivity between multiple trucks to reduce real cost of ownership.
A live stream of our press conference will be available on our website at 8:00am Eastern Daylight Time on Monday, September 25th.
“We’re excited to share new products and new ideas, including emerging technologies that improve fuel efficiency, make roads safer and address key industry issues, such as the driver turnover rate,” said Roger Nielsen, chief executive officer of Daimler Trucks North America. “We are at the forefront of not only advancing this discussion of critical issues, but accelerating the commercial availability of technologies that have immediate and lasting benefits for our customers.”
The Daimler Trucks North America booth will feature interactive displays and top-selling vehicles from Freightliner Trucks, Western Star Trucks, Fuso Trucks, Mercedes-Benz Vans and Thomas Built Buses. Additionally, Detroit components, safety and telematics software demonstrations, Aftermarket, and financing services from Daimler Trucks Financial will be showcased.
The NACV Show will underscore how Daimler Trucks has earned a reputation for manufacturing top-quality commercial vehicles that are more than just tools to get jobs done.
